The Consortium of Prosciutto toscano PDO has a new president: Fabio viani, by Viani srl.
Mr Viani collects the inheritance which has been Cristiano Ludovici’s until 2013, and will lead one of the excellences of the region.
A great honor received with great awareness, Fabio Viani thanked his predecessors for the excellent work done so far and is committed, together with the new collaborators, to strengthen communication activities for the promotion of Prosciutto toscano dop.
A promotion that will affect Italy but also foreign countries: the intention is to increase its popularity by leveraging the elements which differentiate the PDO from the rest of the market, but also to defend it from imitations, with a careful attention to the correct denominations.
Important presences are on the way: the Summer Fancy Food in New York, The Anuga Food Fair in Cologne and the ‘’Tutto Food’’ in Milan.
The Consortium, founded in 1990, aims to protect Tuscan ham from the proliferation of other products which have little in common with the Tuscan tradition. The aim is to promote, enhance and protect the product on the domestic and foreign markets, preserving its origins.
The activity of the Consortium and so the notoriety of our ham is in fact greatly increased, but Viani want to emphasize that the growth is still increasing and the potentialities are excellent.
The new President’s commitment will be to make consumers more aware of the meaning of the link with the territory, the authenticity and traditions which the PDO guarantees, by maintaining the product’s quality always at the highest level.
